I began my career in education as a middle school Art teacher. I taught middle school Art, 3rd grade, elementary physical education, computer literacy, yearbook journalism and drama. After teaching for 20 years, I ran my own graphic design and photography business for 6 years. I missed the school environment and decided to return to education.
I began working in the technology department at Western School District in 2006. I started at the elementary buildings as a technology support specialist. I enjoyed working with the elementary staff and students very much. I held that position for two years. I then worked for two years as the district's Workstation specialist, working mostly at the middle school and high school where I have enjoyed the opportunity to work closely with the staff and students there.
In the fall of 2010, I began working as the Technology Integration Coordinator for Western School District and for Northwest Schools. I am very excited about this opportunity and enjoy the time I spend working with the teachers to engage the students in meaningful and educational technology use.
